Note from Sundara...The "algorithm" has been showing me a lot of hummingbirds recently and I finally succumbed to this one. I think dark blue/navy and coral is one of those overlooked color combinations that works incredibly well. I suppose because they are complements, after all. It gives you a pop of color and a bunch of pizzazz all in one skein of yarn. What more could you ask for?
"Flight of the Hummingbird" will not be dyed again. Three batches available.

Note from Sundara...I wanted to dye something pumpkin-spice inspired, but not totally full-on pumpkin spicy. I found this photo and doing a little hint of pumpkin spice with a little-bitty gradient of blues seemed just perfect. And since fingering silky merino is super warm and cozy with that gorgeous hint of spicy-shine, it seemed just right.
"Complements of Autumn" will not be dyed again.

Note from Sundara...All my roses are on their last legs, or, I suppose, their last blooms. They are still gorgeous, but everything is a little subdued. Less perky and full of that spring and summer vigor. It made me think about what, exactly, is an "Autumn Pink." There are probably a bazillion versions of what could be called an autumn pink, but this is today's version, in all its rosy glory.
It's really just lovely, in its simple elegance. It's not too faded or subdued. It'll work with a lot of skin tones and hair colors because it's got a bit of earthiness to it. It isn't too blue or too yellow, just kind of a nice, in-between pink. It'll work on its own as a single-color project, with pretty much whatever stitch you throw at it, including stockinette or garter, or it would coordinate with a range of colors: blues, greens, purples, brown, grey. I'm might have to keep some for myself, actually, not that I've said all that. It's just that great.
"Autumn Roses" will not be dyed again.

Note from Sundara...Back when I was dyeing "Champagne Kisses," I could only get it to work on 100% silk yarn. But then, for some reason, I decided to try a light neutral on aran merino, and behold! I dyed a champagne colored 100% merino yarn. I don't know why it worked this time, but yay! Especially since so many of you asked for a 100% merino Champagne Kisses.
This is a little different than Champagne Kisses. It's, well, bubblier. A little brighter and lighter. More effervescent. Still very champagne-y. It'll make you lightheaded, but only in a yarn way. It'll will definitely keep you warm on New Year's Eve. Or any other celebration. But you won't be hung over the next morning.
"Bubbly" will not be dyed again.

Note from Sundara...I noticed that there were quite a few patterns on Ravelry that used fingering yarn with alpaca, silk, and cashmere. AND it turns out, my mill has this exact yarn, so I figured, LET'S TRY IT!! And you know, I wanted to knit it up myself into a project, so I had to go pink this first time out. Because this yarn is so super soft, it's to die for. Like the softest of the soft. With a hint of shine from the silk. It's amazing.
So, what are those patterns? My favorite is Amren by Joji because I'm a sucker for the tassels and garter stitch (1 skein). Next up is "Seraphic Shawlette" by Soraya Gracia, which has some lovely texture and lace (1 skein). And finally, if you want to go crazy, there is the "Queens Cami" by Tori Yu. Perfect for under a cute jacket or cardigan. Honestly, I can't decide if I want this as a sweater or around my neck because it is so freakin' soft.
"The Feathered Flamingos" will not be dyed again.

Note from Sundara...I couldn't remember the last time I dyed a lighter neutral brown in aran merino, and I saw this photo and thought that maybe these were the days of our lives. Or something like that. I haven't watched daytime soap operas since I was twelve. But that opening sticks with you. This yarn isn't that dramatic, seeing as how it is a neutral, but that's the whole point, isn't it? No drama. Just straight up pretty color that fits in and goes with everything.
And this is really pretty for a neutral. Some neutrals are blah, but this is all sorts of colors like cafe au lait, chestnut, sand, toffee, caramel, maybe a hint of cinnamon and gingerbread. But just a hint. It's a rich neutral, as neutrals go. Definitely up for being one of the Days of Our Lives. But without the drama. It won't steal your husband or turn out to be your evil secret identical twin sister. It'll just knit up into a great project that will go with lots of stuff.
"Like Sand through the Hourglass" will not be dyed again. Three batches available.

Note from Sundara...There's a pattern for a shawl, "Billow" by Lisa Mutch that is designed for 3 skeins of this yarn. It's specifically two colors, and then the middle color is a mix of the two colors. It's an absolutely gorgeous pattern and I've dyed sets of yarn for it before.
It popped up on the Ravelry "Hot Right Now" section a few weeks ago, so I thought I'd dye up a set for us. I wanted to do a peach and dark blueish-indigo, and found this photo. It turned out absolutely perfect. A lovely pale peach. Gorgeous dark, rich blue and the middle skein balances them just right. And the yarn! So soft and squishy and bouncy with a bit of shimmer and shine. It's delicious. If you haven't knit this pattern yet, this might be one to add to your To Be Knit list.
"From Darkness, Light" will not be dyed again. Updated 1 set left. Each set includes 1 skein of each color. The "Billow" pattern requires 1 set of yarn.

Note from Sundara...How great is the combination of this teal-aqua stoneware pottery with all the hues of espresso? I thought it was completely captivating. Also, delicious. I didn't get enough sleep so I'm lacking for...uh, words today. I'm just going to give you some possible project ideas and hope that will convince you to get some of this gorgeous yarn. Cause it it really is gorgeous.
Sweaters! "Gridlines" by Susanne Sommer would be awesome. Will totally work with the variegation and the vertical-ness is a nice change from most sweaters. Also, slimming!
Accessories! "Amren" by Joji (1 skein) because tassels! And garter with some lace! "Dunluce Shawl" by Brenda Brayfield (1 skein) because it's almost like a cross between a shawl and a scarf. Finally, "Timeless Hat and Hand Warmers" by Purl Soho (1 skein) because it's starting to get cold out there and this is a classic. Also, free!
"To Bean or Not To Bean" will not be dyed again. Updated: 1 batch left.

Note from Sundara...I can't remember if I've dyed this yarn in a teal, but even if I have, this one is pretty great, so it's worth it. It's "beachy teal" with some dark blues overlaid and is what you might think of when someone says "simple elegance."
I get asked a lot what to knit with this yarn. It's quickly become one of my favorite yarn bases. It's smooth, soft, and silky and I like it in anything garter, as the garter is lofty and just kind of works well with it. I find it best on US 3-5 needles. Something like a single color "Drachenfels" by Melanie Berg. Which most of us may have already knit, but it's a classic and I've knit it in a single color and it's divine. Can't go wrong. Would knit again. And again. Especially in this yarn.
"Transience of Tranquility" will not be dyed again.
