The Sea Turtle

Note from Sundara... I had lovely inspiration photos all picked out for today's Daily Dreams and I had my dye and my pots and my yarn all ready like I do almost every single day. And then, well, I'm not sure what happened but every single one of the three colors just would not become the color it was supposed to. All three batches of yarn decided that it needed to be a completely different color that looked nothing like my inspiration photo. Which probably means it was me, not the yarn or the dye or the photos. Some unconscious part of me just felt like these were the colors that this yarn wanted to be and so here we are. Hopefully you'll all like them especially because I rarely dye polwarth!

It's a fun base in that it is completely different from my usual yarn bases. It's a little sturdier. Very good for weaving, if you are a weaver. It's supposedly good for socks, but I personally think it would make a fantastic sweater. One of those sweaters that will last forever and that you can wear to do stuff. You know like weed the garden or walk to the dog in the rain. Because it isn't a delicate yarn that needs to be babied. You could hammer a nail while wearing this yarn and it wouldn't snag. It's tough and that had its advantages!

Fingering Polwarth is 437 yards and 100 grams of 100% super wash New Zealand Polwarth.
7 stitches per inch on US 3/3.25mm needles.
Gently hand wash in tepid water for project longevity.
Orders for 2+ skeins will be matched as closely as possible.
