Note from Sundara...3/4 of the yarn I dyed last week was blue, so I needed a palate cleanser. And I'm currently having a love affair with dark wine-red-burgundy flowers. Aren't these peonies spectacular? The yarn is even more spectacular because it's yarn and it won't wilt or die and you can knit with it. Or whatever it is you like to do with yarn.
A lot of people like to knit this particular shade of red into lace shawls. I think the deep dark red gives the lace an added drama. "Illumine" by Nim Teasdale is particularly pretty one. It needs 2 skeins. If you aren't up for lace, "Electric Squeeze" is a cute, new short-sleeve sweater that looks like fun. Or, if you just like the color, you could get a single skein and match it up with some stash yarn to knit Joji's new "Sowing the Seeds of Love" wrap. That takes five skeins of different colors, so you'd get to buy yarn (woo!) and use stash yarn (extra woo!). That's a win all around.
"The Paradox of Peonies" will not be dyed again.
