Note from Sundara...For those of you not obsessed with early 19th century British literature, The Mysteries of Udolpho is a classic gothic novel written by Anne Radcliffe that was all the rage in the day. I've actually read it, and I would not recommend it to anyone. It's terrible, and it goes on forever. Spare yourself. Knit instead. BUT. It makes for a fabulous name for some gothic-flavored yarn and can you believe Halloween is like a month and a half away? So when this photo came up, I thought we needed something spooky.
Like last year's Gothic Nights, I threw all the blues I had at it, but this one is definitively more night-time, in that the blues are hints of color. This has navy with hints of teal and indigos with the merest hints of purple. It's really phenomenal. And I'd somehow forgotten how soft and squishy this yarn is in the DK. The heavier weight really gives it that oomph. So knit up. The ghostly season is soon upon us.
"The Mysteries of Udolpho" will not be dyed again.
