Sail Away

Note from Sundara... Does anyone else besides me remember the Enya song "Orinoco Flow?" You know the one, that basically repeats the lyric "sail away, sail away, sail away" a whole bunch and that's the only bit you can remember other than the soaring instrumentals? My brother randomly busts out the the "sail away" bit and I get all nostalgic for the 80s music. Which is basically is to say, I thought this inspiration photo captured the feeling of that song more than any other photo I've seen in a long time.

The yarn is maybe not as soaring in feeling because I'm not sure what sort of colors would make a yarn feel soaring, but let's move on because I think this yarn could make you feel soaring. If you knit it up into a cozy shawl and wrapped it around yourself while you stood out in some sort of nature setting with the wind rustling your hair. You could even sing a little of the Orinoco Flow if you were so inspired.

Aran Silky Alpaca is 181 yards and 100 grams of 70% baby alpaca & 30% mulberry silk.
4.5 stitches per inch on US 8/5mm needles.
Gently hand wash in tepid water for project longevity.
