Note from Sundara...After I dyed this color a second time in mohair, I got lots of pleading emails requesting "please more in merino" so I dyed more, but it took me until today to get the color just right, so here it is...as a reminder, this is what I said last week:
I saw a woman grocery shopping the other day and she was one of those women who immediately make you feel bad about yourself because she looked so effortlessly put together that you felt like a slob. (Even wearing your good yoga pants.) She was wearing all black and brown and everything was coordinated. Even her hair coordinated with the brown she was wearing. She was probably buying kale. But! It occurred to me that black and brown is a highly underrated color combination and it is extremely elegant.
And while you and I might not ever achieve full-on grocery-store-kale-buying-hair/outfit-color coordination, we can attempt some black and brown elegance. Maybe a sophisticated little shawl. A beret, if you are feeling the Eiffel elegance. Or dream big and go for a sweater, if you want to attempt grandness. You decide for yourself. I'll provide the yarn.
"Effortlessly Elegant" extra fine fingering merino really won't be dyed again.

Note from Sundara...You gotta love this forest teal-green. It's using my new and improved dye methods, so the color is thoroughly saturated throughout the skein and the strands of the skein. Which you all seem to be loving, so I'll keep dyeing these kinds of colors for you.
You can do pretty much whatever you want with yarn dyed this way. It's as versatile as it comes, especially in fingering merino. And this color is one of those that works for almost everyone, too. And, now that I'm thinking about it, it's pretty much a four-season color. You could wear it year round and it would go with just about anything. It's like a non-neutral neutral. Can't beat that.
"The Rainforest" will not be dyed again. Updated: one batch left.

Note from Sundara...Eighty bazillion of you asked super nicely for me to dye more of this color, and, since it sold out so fast, I changed my plans for the day and dyed you up more, but in the most elegant of yarn bases: lace silky mohair. It's even prettier in this yarn, what with the fluffiness and the silk. SO PRETTY. SO FLUFFY. As a reminder, here's what I said yesterday...

Note from Sundara...This was supposed to be the "Abalone" color from a few weeks ago––because so many of you wanted more of that and I wanted to see it super shiny on silk––but half way through I realized the silk wasn't taking the color same way and I had to change plans. But I still wanted shiny and seashells, and this nautilus shell was intriguing.
This is super shiny, yet still somehow subdued, so it isn't SHINY.** It's got all the interesting iridescence of those seashells we are looking for, but it's even softer and smoother in the 100% silk. Totally worth the splurge for a skein or two for a little something something to wrap around your neck. Whether you pair it with an iridescent nautilus button is up to you.
"Neverending Nautilus" will not be dyed again. Updated: half a batch left.
**SHINY should be sung in the voice of Moana crab when he's singing the Shiny song. I sung it to myself the entire time I dyed this yarn. That crab is awesome.
