Hazy Shade of Winter

Note from Sundara... I've been hesitant to try this yarn because of the high linen content. As I have mentioned, the dye I use works on "protein" fiber and won't dye anything plant-based, like linen. This yarn is designed so the silk, which is a protein fiber, will take the dye and the linen won't, which then creates a tweed effect. As you can see, that is exactly what happened. And it's AMAZING. OMG, I should have tried this yarn sooner. It's SO COOL. I honestly had no idea what would happen and I just was hoping I'd get somewhat close to my inspiration photo. Which you know, I did. Although just FYI, that darker color is more green than it appears in this photo, but it kind of depends on the light. It only looks green in bright sunlight.

But this yarn is so smooth and silky and linen-y. And the color! So tweedy! It's going to knit up amazingly. Light and airy and I know it is cold and dreary and linen is the last thing you are thinking about but spring and summer are right around the corner. We have daffodils starting to come up, so summer knitting...think about it. With tweedy silky goodness.
