Note from Sundara...bear with me as I try to explain my vision for this yarn, I've still got this terrible cold––I think my only moments of lucidity yesterday was when I dyed this yarn. Which was fortunate, because it turned out brilliant. I don't know if my explanation will be anywhere near as lucid or brilliant.

We're having a ridiculously early autumn/winter. I had frost on my car window this morning. I'm still cold all the time. I've already mentioned my stupid head cold that I caught way too early in the season, and I'm longing for summer, but summer colors don't seem appropriate, so I thought darker, wintery, icy, frozen blackberries would be perfect. But I've already dyed yarn for this inspiration photo, and I wanted a color with a little more to it. So I thought I'd deconstruct it. Or maybe "smush" the blackberries, if you will.

And it is fabulous! The base of this color is a dark blue-black with an icy-frozen tone to it, and then running throughout are streaks of blackish-pink-magenta and lighter, true icy bits, and then all sorts of hues in between those colors. It's magnificent. It'd be like if you took a fork to those frozen blackberries, with maybe a little milk, and all the colors ran together just enough to make it fascinating, but not enough to make it a smoothie. Does that make sense? Hopefully. Because it is so pretty and the yarn photo doesn't do it justice, so hopefully you'll take my rambling, foggy-headed word for it.

Just three batches available.
