Note from Sundara...We've got peonies sprouting, and I'm all sorts of eager and getting ahead of myself, ready for them to bloom. So of course, I had to dye some peony colored yarn. I usually limit myself to one, uh, color or type of peony when I dye peony yarn, but I wanted ALL the peonies. A full garden. A medley of peonies, if you will. Couldn't find any nice "garden of peonies" photos, so I went with this. Don't look too closely though, I'm very sure not all of those flowers are peonies, but the colors are right, so we are going with it.
You can pretty much do anything with this yarn, and this color will go with just about anything. Black? Yes. Navy? Absolutely. Bright orange. OMG yes. Green? To die for. Teal? Divine. Khaki? Absurdly gorgeous. I will also take a moment to remind you that I adore using this yarn held together with anything fingering weight to get a (maybe) DK-ish gauge (your gauge may vary). Currently, I'm holding it together with a fingering merino for a sweater, and it is line a fuzzy cloud of pink and yellow goodness. So that's another option for you. As I said, you can do anything with this yarn.
"A Garden of Peonies" will not be dyed again. The mill is out of this yarn for the foreseeable future and we are devastated.
