Abalone Day Dreams

Note from Sundara...Some of you may remember that I went on a big abalone-inspiration kick a few months ago. A few photos of more abalone and shells came up in my feed and I thought it might be interesting to bring that shiny, hard irridescent sparkle to the fluff of lace silky alpaca. And let me tell you, it's super pretty and super fun. If fluff could shimmer with iridescence, this yarn would do it.

And for those of you asking yourself WHY would you want to knit with alpaca in the heat of summer, well, working with this yarn is like knitting with air. There's almost nothing to it. You won't feel a thing and you'll still get all the satisfaction and benefits you love from working with yarn. I think I said about one of the other fluffy yarns that it was like knitting with dandelion fluff. It's even more true with this yarn. It's exactly what you'd want to knit with in the heat of summer.
